Rent-a-Dog
Don’t have a furry friend of your own to bring along? Stop by the CHA booth to “rent” one of our shelter dogs for the race. Who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself a fur-ever friend! Rentals are free, but donations are encouraged! Guest Host Update: We're sorry to report that Sammy the Weiner dog has recently passed away. Please join us in extending our extreme sympathy to Bob and his family.
Join us in welcoming our guest host, Bob Nunnally of NBC4’s Storm Team. Bob has been an animal lover all his life and his dedication to rescue and shelter dogs and cats is evident by his broadcasts from various shelters across the city, during which Bob promotes pet adoption. Bob’s own “Sammy the Weiner dog” is well known through Bob’s on-air mentions and now by becoming honorary poster dog for CHA’s Dog Jog & Health Fair. Bob is also the proud owner of “Scully” the wonder cat. CHA thanks Bob for his continued support and promotion of rescue organizations!

Several of our vendors will be highlighting their services and products via onsite demonstrations. Join us for the following:

Finally, the Truth About Weight Loss! Top personal trainer, Matthew Hickey from Core Fitness Studios, will dispel the 5 myths of weight loss and teach you the 4 secrets that will help keep you on the fast track to lasting results. This 25 minute presentation will be held at the Core Fitness Studios booth and the presenter will be available for questions following the presentation.
Marcy Wright, Canine therapeutic and sports massage practitioner and instructor, will be giving FREE massage evaluations for your mutt, because when dogs jog, they can get stiff and sore too!

Precautions
This event is safe for the canine runner who has been properly trained for the distance. Owner is responsible for this preconditioning. In the case of an emergency, veterinary aid will be available. Due to the large number of dogs participating, the race directors or veterinarian reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose participation could prove hazardous to others. All dogs must be under the direct control of their owners at all times. If the event is canceled due to severe weather conditions, thank you for your contribution to CHA.
