The Dog JogTM is CHA Animal Shelter's cornerstone fundraiser. We are excited to be celebrating the 20th year for this event. Check out pictures from the 2009 19th annual Dog Jog!
The event is a 5K, which you can Run or Walk. We will also have a 1 Mile Fun run/walk route as well.

Countless studies have shown that owning an animal is a healthy choice in life. Some of this research has suggested that pets help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, help prevent minor illnesses, expediting recovery and even warning of cancer, heart attacks and epileptic seizures. Not to mention they provide us with unconditional love, no matter who we are or what we do. So isn't it time we celebrate our pets and return the favor? The 2009 Dog Jog is also seeking sponsors and vendors to attend the event. Contact Kaye for more information on registering for a booth or being a sponsor. Thank you for your support!
Come to the Dog Jog ready to enjoy some healthy exercise with your favorite pup or one of ours! That’s right, you can “rent” a CHA Dog for the race if you don’t have one of your own! Maybe you’ll meet a new, furry forever friend there. Even if you don't own an animal, come by and enjoy the exercise and support a great cause as well!
Stick around after the race to visit our Family Health Fair, the free event following the race will highlight various vendors, services, information and games related to the health of you and your pet.
CHA Animal Shelter is a 501c3 non-profit animal shelter dedicated to finding homes for homeless, abandoned and rescued animals in central Ohio, and we can continue to improve the lives of so many animals in need with the help of people like you. Help us raise money for the care and comfort of the canine and feline residents of CHA! Prizes will be awarded for top race finishers and fundraisers!
Cost to participate in the 5K and 1 Mile:
$25 per person advanced registration.
$30 per person day of the event.
The race fee and any donation you might make will benefit the cats and dogs of CHA Animal Shelter, and are tax-deductible contributions as allowed by law.
The Family Health Fair is free to attend.
Schedule:
8:00 am - Registration at McFerson Commons (corner of Nationwide Blvd and West St)
9:00 am - 5K Run/Walk and 1 mile Fun Walk
8:30 am to 11:30 pm - Family Health Fair at McFerson Commons
